Peebles Care Home is in a quiet setting on the banks of the River Tweed, overlooking Tweed Green. The house has lovely views onto the river and is only 100 yards from Peebles High Street.
Our Peebles care home is familiar to local people as the town’s former cottage and maternity hospital, and we take pride in maintaining strong links to the local community. Many of our residents – and indeed some of our staff! – were born here, and we have provided accommodation to several local couples. This helps to give Peebles Nursing Home its uniquely friendly atmosphere.
At Peebles Care Home, residents particularly enjoy hands-on activities such as painting and crafts. We run a fantastic weekly art class, and some of the residents’ canvases have appeared on postcards. We also offer craft workshops around seasonal themes such as Easter and Halloween. Other favourites include music and sing-alongs, and Peebles Care Home takes part in the Harmony Music Therapy Project of recitals from visiting musicians. Staff, residents and relatives at the home are actively involved in our projects with the local community.
Peebles Care Home provides accommodation for up to 32 residents in 30 single rooms with the option of two of these rooms to be shared. The communal rooms and garden areas are open to both residents and visitors.

I feel the staff are so well trained in everything they do.
