belleville lodge, edinburgh

Belleville Lodge is a beautiful mid-19th century house set in one of Edinburgh’s most elegant areas. The house has grand interiors, high ceilings and period features, and is surrounded by magnificent award-winning gardens.

Belleville Lodge provides care for up to 25 residents. The original building is divided into generous single and some twin rooms, and the sympathetically designed modern extension offers twelve single rooms.

Belleville Lodge has a welcoming atmosphere with a sense of tradition. Our residents often come from professional walks of life and have lived locally. At Belleville Lodge, we help our residents to participate fully in all aspects of their lives, and encourage them to continue leading a full and happy life.

Our staff are expertly trained to deliver the highest standards of care, and we pride ourselves on their commitment and continuity.

Belleville Lodge offers a wide range of activities, including visits to garden centres, concerts, theatres, museums and art galleries. Our residents particularly enjoy the weekly afternoon reminiscence teas. We have weekly visits to the Sunday service at our local church, as well as in-house church services and a monthly visit from the church choir. A hairdresser comes to the home weekly, and our ladies enjoy visiting the salon to have their hair styled. We also have a keen gardening club, and residents enjoy having their own window boxes and hanging baskets to look after. Our gardens have been laid out with the less able in mind, and include quiet secluded areas for sitting out in the sun.

We also have a Skype link which residents use to keep in touch with family and friends as far afield as South America, Hong Kong and Australia.

Like all Mansfield Care Homes, Belleville Lodge provides exceptional personal care, restaurant-standard cuisine, and all the specialised facilities you’d expect from a top quality care home.

All of the staff at Belleville Lodge have gone out of their way to make my mother feel welcome – in fact, loved.
