Argyll House is a traditional stone building in a quiet residential area near the centre of Kilmarnock. The day room looks onto a garden with an apple tree and greenhouse, offering a peaceful space for sitting out.
Argyll House has a busy, friendly atmosphere and strong links to the local community. We often welcome visits from local primary school children, as well as the players and team mascot from nearby Kilmarnock FC. We also run a regular programme of activities, including sing-alongs, board games and armchair athletics. Favourite outings include shopping trips and visits to Troon for the seaside air and fish and chips.
Argyll House provides accommodation for up to 33 residents in 29 single rooms and 2 doubles in the main house and the new extension, which has been sympathetically designed and has a lovely spacious feel. The communal spaces and garden areas are open to residents and visitors, and you are welcome to stay for meals.
Our staff are friendly, helpful and trained in all aspects of care for the elderly. Staff training is continually updated to ensure we support our residents with the best quality of care possible. Every resident has a dedicated keyworker responsible for making sure the care we provide caters for each individual’s needs and wishes.

I enjoy working at Argyll House, because the staff are always really nice and we all get along.
