Each Mansfield Care Home runs a programme of events and activities which are fun for residents, and help them maintain their skills and enjoy each others’ company.
The programme varies depending on the individual care home, and includes outings, church visits, and stimulating activities such as crafts, board games, chair aerobics, music, gardening or reminiscence.
All our care homes have an activities coordinator who draws up a programme in discussion with residents and relatives. You’ll find the details displayed on the reception notice board in each care home.
We actively encourage our residents to keep up their links and friendships within the community, and continue their favourite interests and talents while staying with us. Some of our residents find they enjoy gardening or baking, or rediscover their love of painting and music. We are happy to arrange activities and outings for individuals and couples, as well as larger groups.
We have an open door policy for visitors, and encourage you to become actively involved in the life of the home. You’re also welcome to stay for lunch or dinner – there’s no need to let us know in advance!
See our individual care homes for more about activities in each one.
